Lisa Marie Hunter was born in Houston, Texas in 1981, where she currently lives and works. Lisa studied works on paper at The Glassell School of Art, of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. 

Through her artwork, Hunter explores her perception of the inner and outer self. She frequently investigates ideas of personal mysticism and as well as psychology.
